With the all-inclusive protection package from CA, you'll have a broad protection against viruses, hackers, identity thieves, spyware, spam, offensive websites and other online threats. The easy-to-use interface and frequent automatic updates make it easy to stay protected.
With the new Snooze feature you have the possibility to disable the program's real-time protection for a period from one to 99 minutes. This feature is great for new software installations or to troubleshoot a system performance fault or problems of this kind. It's easy to deactivate Snooze. Just click the Wake Now icon in the System Tray. If you forget to do so, the timer will automatically turn off Snooze after the allotted time and restart the CA Antivirus protection.
The Automatic Email Scanning will guard you against viruses that may arrive via email. With Scheduled and On-Demand Scanning you can always run a scan, or you can schedule scans at pre-selected intervals. Real-time Scanning blocks viruses by scanning files when they are opened, closed or saved to your PC. Advanced Heuristic Scanning detects new risks even before virus protection updates are created.
Antivirus

The interface provides you with an Explorer-like file tree. With this you can select which files and folders you wish to scan. The program is user-friendly. With the four tab categories, the product is perfectly suited for the average user, whereas the advanced users may find that the software has a limited number of advanced features. The CA Internet Security Suite (ISS) combines numerous products within one package, the applications within it each being available as standalone purchases. Thus, the product manifests itself in three main ways: through a central console, the individual application GUIs and the Windows Security Center.
Ease of Installation
Internet Security Suite installs quickly, saves hard drive space, and runs efficiently and it doesn't require much space on your computer. Installation is really easy. The simple wizard walks you through the installation process. After you have rebooted your system, the program adds a CA Security Center icon to your System Tray. This gives you an easy access to your CA security applications.
Other features
This piece of software is certified by Independent Testing Organisations including ICSA Labs and West Coast Labs. Moreover it's certified by Virus Bulletin to detect 100% of viruses “in the wild”. Be aware that scanning time isn't too fast. Thus, CA’s Anti-Virus scan engine is quite slow. It allows you to pause or stop a scan, which is a nice feature. You can do a full system scan, but you can also scan specific files and folders. The control offered on the Virus Scanning tab allows scheduling, scanning of browsed folders and the adjustment of settings. In reality, the settings that can be adjusted are limited to whether disinfection or quarantining will occur, and to the setting of exclusions.
CA updates their virus definitions daily. Choose between automatic and manual updates. Daily, Fully Automatic Updates easily and effectively address the number one reason why PC users suffer attacks: out-of-date signature files. Updating is streamlined, with schedules and proxies being the configurable areas.

CA offers you great support on their support page, but also with their Knowledge Base Search and FAQs page. The Interactive Virus Detection Messages gives you links to helpful resources in the CA Virus Information Centre when threats are detected. .
Expect the support team to respond your email within 36 hours. Overall, CA is very helpful. Be aware that the telephone support is quite expensive at $29.95.
